Skunks. Reminiscent of my childhood and those summer nights I would take walks with my dad through the fields across the street.
Sulfur. Reminds me of Yellowstone National Park. I could live there.
Band-Aids. No good reason really. I just like the way they smell.

Politics: The Way I See It
A group of men and women belonging to one of two parties who do nothing more than fight and undermine one another to fulfill their parties agenda and/or advance their personal ideals; and who fail to represent the very people that got them there in the first place. Their duty should be to society right? I feel that this piece is missing from the equation.
Pillow Talk
One of the greatest things I could have ever done was patch the holes in my pillow with some black gorilla tape.

Should We Be Thanking The Dresden Dolls For This One? Me Thinks Not
I'm open to interpretation, because I have a hard time fathoming what it all means.
"Daddy please, hear this song that I sing.
In your heart there's a spark that just screams,
For a lover to bring a child to your chest,
That could lay as you sleep and love all you have left,
Like your boy used to be, long ago,
Wrapped in sheets warm and wet.
Blister please, with those wings in your spine.
Love to be with a brother of mine.
How he'd love to find your tongue in his teeth,
In a struggle to find secret songs that you keep,
Wrapped in boxes so tight, sounding only at night as you sleep.
And in my dreams you're alive and you're crying,
As your mouth moves in mine, soft and sweet.
Rings of flowers round your eyes and I love you,
For the rest of your life (when you're ready).
Brother see, we are one in the same.
And you left with your head filled with flames,
And you watched as your brains fell out through your teeth.
Push the pieces in place.
Make your smile sweet to see.
Don't you take this away.
I'm still wanting my face on your cheek.
And when we break we'll wait for our miracle.
God is a place where some holy spectacle lies.
And when we break we'll wait for our miracle.
God is a place you will wait for the rest of your life.
Two-headed boy, she is all you could need.
She will feed you tomatoes and radio wires,
And retire to sheets safe and clean,
But don't hate her when she gets up to leave."

Everything on the Menu has Fish
Dolphins never sleep because they rest one half of their brain at a time and I eat tuna right out of the can.
Blog Worthy?
Fact: A cow yields 3% more milk if it listens to Simon and Garfunkel. I believe I heard this little tidbit of information on Animal Planet once.

What is the Best Movie to Watch While Going to Sleep?
Easy! Lord of Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. I'm not suggesting that it is boring, I'm simply saying it is a good movie to fall asleep to.

And Suddenly It All Became So Clear
I finally understand why Donnie Darko had to die. Or at least I think I do. Great movie.

So that I don't forget what type of replacement record needle I spent a long time looking for... I will be needing a 700-D7.

Death Cab for Zooey
Rumor has it that Ben Gibbard is now dating Zooey Deschanel. If this be the case, I really think that the two of them should consider re-doing The Postal Service's "Nothing Better."
Poor Mr. Snowman
Today while on campus, I saw something quite out of the ordinary. Somebody had built a snowman around a tree as to make it look like it had been impaled. I don't know how much longer he'll make it (it has pierced his snowman heart after all); perhaps I should take a picture before he melts. I mean, how often does one see a snowman who has been skewered by a tree right?

Saying I'd Look Like Wolfman Would Be Giving Myself Too Much Credit
Expecting Less Than a Miracle
No fail... Every time I cook up a batch of Macaroni and Cheese, it always tastes terrible.
A Lesson From Rambo
When you are stranded in a vast jungle and fleeing from the enemy with nothing but a claymore, you can always count on one thing for sure: the conveniently placed nuclear missile. Simply attach the claymore to the missile and you have the ultimate killing machine. It's that easy.

What I Do With My Time When I Should Be Doing Other Things
I recently joined a website that just launched called The Music, The Message. It's kind of neat because it allows users to come together and discuss music, submit reviews, etc. I recently submitted my first editorial entitled, "Life's All About Taking The Bad With The Good." If anyone is curious to see what it is all about, they are welcome to slip on over and check it out.

Falling Stars
If you ever catch a falling star, I suggest you heed the words of Perry Como and stick it in your pocket and save it for a rainy day. Because if you decide to eat it a flaming ball of gas may just burst from your chest where your heart once used to be.

Alice in Wonder WHAT!?
No disrespect to Johnny Depp, but I think I'll stick with the 1985 classic version that comes complete with "Through the Looking Glass."

To a New Year
I hope everyone who reads this had a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year. May this year be even better than the last.
Bring Back Vinyl
As my vinyl collection continues to grow, I would like to know just one thing: Will Mae ever press The Everglow? I would also like to express my disappointment in the fact that Brandnew has decided to delay their release of The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me. On a brighter note, Freelance Whales has announced the release of Weathervanes in March. That should make an excellent addition to my collection.
