How Long's Too Long?

When you've been working with an asbuilt all day and the silhouette of a particular building begins to remind you of Brian, the dog from Family Guy, it's probably a pretty good indicator that you have been staring at the computer too long.

The World Could Use More Dead Heads

No Use For A Name may have written The Feel Good Record Of The Year, but that title - I strongly believe - rightly belongs to the Grateful Dead. I am not a "Dead Head" by any means; it's just I have a hard time seeing how anyone couldn't feel good after listening to their album American Beauty.

Could I Be a Victim of Indentity Theft?

Not sure. Let me just enter my social security number into this sketchy website here and let them find that out for me...

S:S&S EP

As I watched the Grizzled Boor lying there helplessly on the ground, I was torn as to whether I should strike him down and end his misery, or put away my sword and spare his life. It was at that very moment that I realized I was playing a masterpiece.

And speaking of masterpieces, Jim Guthrie's Sword & Swocercy LP: The Ballad of the Space Babies is sure to become something of legends as well. The music blows my mind.

Brains!!!

Dear AMC,

Season 1 of The Walking Dead was pretty amazing. And I really liked how you left the ending open for anything to happen in Season 2. The way I see it, the possibilities are endless. So don't screw it up!!!!!

The Mike Tyson code may be one of the greatest codes of all time besides maybe the Contra infinity lives code. It's only fitting that such a great code be associated with what I consider to be the best game ever made. Simply put, who didn't want to skip right to Mike Tyson and get there butt kicked when they were younger? But what about the other supporting characters who were often overlooked?

Having beaten the game from beginning to end (which despite my cousin's negative claims - is possible), there was one victory that even today I'm particularly proud of; and that's when I TKO'd Don Flamenco #2 in the first round. Those familiar with the game might agree that such an accomplishment is no easy feat, and is something I have only been able to do once. As is life however, there is someone out there who is always better than you. Which is why I am taking the liberty to post this video to honor MegamanNG, who's first round victory over Flamenco #2 puts mine (which was in the very waning seconds of the first round) to shame.

crime pays

so apparently there's a prison in Monroe, Washington where the inmates are living out their sentences Martha Stuart style.
1. the prisoners get to learn bee-keeping and butterfly-taking-care-of cause i guess it helps make them not want to break the law anymore?
2. there are prison yard barbeques where everyone's families come and visit.
3. and the girl scouts (as in, little girls), come into the yard so the inmates can buy girl scout cookies. (with their spending money? are they trading cigarettes for cookies? sharpened toothbrushes?) it all seems very weird.
but the best part is that all the prisoners call it 'Prisneyland' which made me laugh real hard. whichever inmate thought that up should get a free box of girl scout cookies.

Glasses Can Be Awesome

Today I focused on the reflection in my eye of the buildings and blue skies behind me through the reflection in my glasses. Sweet.

Is He Really Capable of Watching One Poop?

I need a bumper sticker that reads "I Survived Transylvania 6-5000!" And just when I thought Jeff Goldblum couldn't stoop any lower than Earth Girls Are Easy...

Moral Dilemma

Whenever I stumble across a deformed peanut M&M I am faced with the dilemma: should I, or should I not eat it?

Mission Improbable

Just sitting here with Mattski on New Year's Eve wondering if this will be the year he will grab me at midnight and plant a big one on me...

Doppleganger

This M&M dispenser I found lying around the house bears a striking resemblance to Tom Servo.

Interesting Converstations

Contains adult content. Read at your own risk. Don't say I didn't warn you...

Instance 1:
*Dogs bark*
Sister: Did you hear the dogs bark?
Mom: I hope it's those kids humping my reindeer!
Me: Don't you mean making your reindeer hump?
*Other things said*
*Laughter interspersed throughout conversation*

Instance 2:
*Playing The Game of Things*
Card Drawn: Things you would do if you were the opposite sex for a day.
My Response: Play with my boobs!
Brother's Response: Play with my boobies!
Sister: Do guys think girls just play with their boobies all day? Because they don't!
*Other things said*
*Laughter interspersed throughout conversation*

ye olde whalebone underwears

some of my movie choices of the last several days (ie, Stagecoach and Young Victoria) have me wondering if ANYONE back in the day took any issue with the fact that pregnant women seemed to just keep on with the corsets. staggering that you wouldn't jump on an excuse like that.

Not So Deep, Not So Thought Provoking Question

Did the movie Muppets Take Manhattan precede the cartoon Muppet Babies? Or did the cartoon Muppet Babies precede the movie Muppets Take Manhattan?

Speaking of Muppets Take Manhattan... Seeing Kermit the Frog sprawled out on the asphalt after being hit by a taxi was to me a bit anticlimactic.

Sweet Zucchini Pie!

Why on earth would an old person want to be cast in a role as an old person in their death bed? Seeing as that will probably be them shortly anyway, I'd think it ought to be really depressing.

Donner Party

If I was forced to eat another human being to survive, I'd at least joke about it a little bit. Try and lighten the mood.

Music Rant #2

I used to think The Get Up Kids would be just fine with Matt Pryor alone. But after hearing their new song "Automatic," I realize how important it is that Jim Suptic is there to mix things up. It's not like The Goo Goo Dolls who could pull it off with just Rzeznik. Suptic is a talented artist and a vital part in making the Kids what they are today.

I Found This Hammer at Work

I imagine if Super Mario Brothers was real, this is what those hammers being hurled from those pesky, little turtles would look like.

He Saw What?

If only the kid who saw mommy kissing Santa Claus knew. Instead he (or she) is left to live out the remainder of his (or her) childhood in question of her fidelity; afraid to say anything to Dad for fear he'd up and leave Mom. Well Mom... Congratulations! You just screwed up your child's life. Wouldn't want that on my conscience.

Call Me Cheesy

But I have this fake fireplace simulator on my Wii and I love it! I just turn it on at night before I go to bed and pretend I'm falling asleep to the crackling of a real fire. Everyone should own one.
