How might one describe the new Batman movie without giving away too much? A little Nightwing anyone?

Is This Blog Dead?

I'd like to think not. I will try harder to get those not so creative juices a brewing in my head once again soon.

Music Track of the Week #5

Bomb The Music Industry! "Campaign for a Better Weekend"

This week's song goes out to Cortney who was hit by a car while riding her bike today. No worries everybody. She's fine. Did I mention that it was a good song as well?

Music Track of the Week #4

Archers of Loaf "Underachievers Fight and March Song"

This Track of the Week has been a long time coming now hasn't it? I decided I would kick it old school this time around with a favorite of mine dating back to 1995. I suppose you could compare these men to other greats dating back to that time such as The Promise Ring, Cap'n Jazz (and their many spinoffs), and Texas is the Reason. At least I would be as bold to lump them into the same category...

Where Have I Been?

I apologize to anyone who might care (which I've estimated as roughly 0.03 people) for letting myself get so busy with life that I don't have time to get on here and post something outrageously uninteresting and not so witty. I wish I had more time these days to work on things such as my Podcast and what not, but school has been killing me. A few more weeks of this debacle and I will be a master of something, something, something... Then hopefully I might be able to get around to all the things I actually want to do; which I think would be fair to say is nothing. Thank you for your continued patience.

Very Own Podcast?

Remember when I said that one day I might start my own podcast? Well that day came sooner than I could have ever imagined. Check out my new podcast Best Friends! You and I... and be sure to subscribe in iTunes or any other means of podcast playing software if you're interested. The feed URL is the web address in your browser that shows up when you click here. Subscribing in iTunes is as simple as clicking on Advanced>Subscribe to Podcast... and copying and pasting the URL. Thank you for supporting me in this endeavor.

Music Track of the Week #3

Neon Trees "Everybody Talks"

This is the song I have played most recently and most often. I don't know why other than it is really catchy. It is one of those songs, that 'ends too soon' and once its done, you can easily hit replay and listen to it all over again. I actually even got a guy in Scotland to listen to it and admit it was a great tune. I'm not sure about any of their other stuff, but this is a great one!

Music Track of the Week #2

The Black Keys "Run Right Back"

Nic was supposed to select the track of the week this time around, but seeing as he never got around to it I guess that leaves me to pick something yet again. I suppose I can't complain much. I love sharing music with others. This week's selection has been playing on repeat on my ipod all week. It blends 60's psychedelic rock with the Black Keys already unique blues rock. It's definitely worth a listen.

Not Sure What to Do

With every post since I've changed the URL having zero views, I'm assuming that they are not showing up in people's dashboards. This is likely because their dashboards reference the old URL which does not exist. I think I shall call it the Blogger Conundrum of 2012.

We Need To Talk...

About Kevin. That's right. We Need To Talk About Kevin may be one of the most disturbing films I have ever seen, yet oddly thought provoking at the same time - the latter perhaps being the reason I find it kind of disturbing in the first place. The movie will leave you wondering who is ultimately responsible for the final outcome. I definitely recommend this one for all those movie buffs out there. Not only is it well written, but the cinematography is great as well. And did I mention John C. Reilly is in it? He plays a serious role for once too.

Sony Takes a Hit

It seems as if the co-founders of Eat Sleep Play (God of War/Twisted Metal creators and developers) are going their separate ways to pursue mobile apps and other ventures. What does this mean for Sony? Well I suppose they can kiss those titles goodbye or dump them off on another developer. I personally feel they should just let them go. God of War and Twisted Metal both have been lingering in the video game world long enough. Either way, I can't help but think Sony comes out the biggest loser in all of this. But hey! They scored big with Blue-ray at least. Right?

Round 2: We're Old Farts

My friend's had me back on their podcast again, and it was fun as usual. Our topics weren't as random this time around with our focus primarily being the classic video games we all grew up with and loved. But interspersed are some nerdy gems and a few pop culture references... Maybe. I even selected the intro/outro music for this one. You can click here to listen. As always, thanks for listening and supporting the podcast.

Music Track of the Week #1

Coconut Records "Easy Girl"

I love music. And seeing as I listen to my ipod on shuffle a lot, I figured why not try and highlight a song every week that has stood out most? And why not try and put one up every Thursday? The track this week comes from actor Jason Schwartzman's solo project Coconut Records. This particular track is from his debut album Nighttiming, and is enjoyed by me for it's Weezer-esque hooks, lighthearted lyrics, and toned down production and sound.

Thank You Jill!

For reminding me how awesome Wooly Willy was.

I Do Say I Made a Mess of Things

Or maybe not. If you are following this blog and for whatever reason you are experiencing technical difficulties with something, please let me know in a comment and I will do my best to sort it out. Thanks.

Passwords

They are only good for keeping the right people out. I'm sure some Joe Schmo could have hacked into my Google account long before I ever remembered what I changed my password to.

Once upon a time

I played DOS games. Like Ken's Labyrinth, Gobliiins (even though I never figured this one out), and Jill of the Jungle and they were awesome.

This Man... Errrr... Puppet Needs to Become President

Why? Because he understands politics just as well as most of our politicians. Plus, he's determined to track down Big Foot.

Proof? You Can't Handle the Proof!

You best be believing that I beat Abobo's Big Adventure. The proof is in the poster.

For those looking for a fun, nostalgic 8-bit NES mash-up, you can play ABA here. It's not terribly difficult to beat but requires that your computer have flash player support. Wa-wa-waaaaaaaah...

Favorite Scene From Hardware Wars

In the front we have Fluke Starbucker on the left and Ham Salad on the right doing whatever it is they are doing. But my favorite part of this scene is Chewchilla the Wookie Monster nibbling on Princess Anne-Droid's buns in the background.

Just When I Thought It Was Gameover - Going For Six Update

As I was perusing my facebook news feed, I couldn't help but notice that Katy Perry's song "The One That Got Away" was number one in the VH1 Top 20 Video Countdown. So I thought I'd jump over to the Billboard Hot 100 to see where the song was: #3. Two more spots and she will set a new world record. I promised to keep you updated on the story and will continue to do so in the future.

Round 1: What Do Crickets Eat?

I was recently invited to participate in a friend's podcast. It may sound stupid, but being on a podcast has always been something I've wanted to do. Maybe one day I'll actually be the host of one. But until that day, you are welcome to listen to our geek out session by clicking here. We had a fun time recording it, and it's my hope that it might be fun to listen to as well.

Fact

Firmin and Andre from the 2004 adaption of the Phantom of the Opera are nothing more than blundering fools.
