Damn the man! Save the Empire!

This is still one of my most favorite and most quotable movies.

Monopolies

If AT&T buys out T-Mobile, I sure hope they keep the T-Mobile Girl.

Going For Six

It looks like Katy Perry and company are making one final push to set some records. With the release of her third album Teenage Dream, she accomplished something that only Michael Jackson has pulled off; 5 number one songs from a single album.

But the 11/11/11 debut of the new music video for "The One That Got Away" more than a year after the album's release suggests Perry's discontent with such a feat in a last attempt to establish a new world record.

It'll be interesting to see how this one plays out. Jumping from 34 to 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 in just one week, I can't help but wonder if the new music video will be enough to propel the song up to that coveted number one spot? Six number one singles from a single album would be quite the accomplishment. I may not be a big Katy Perry fan but one thing is certain, I'll be keeping an eye on the charts.

How Much Does the Internet Weigh Again?

Allow this seemingly nice gentleman to explain.

After watching this too, I decided I am going to read Gadsby as I am now intrigued.

You go tell world about it or Abobo destroy your face with happy fists!

I feel like I have been waiting all my life for a game like this. If anything, at least enjoy the awesome trailer.

Lions, Tigers, and Bears

Not long ago I put up a few demotivational pictures or posters or whatever you like to call them. As a result I was reminded of my absolute favorite one of these and now wish to share it with you, the reader.

in which i show off my spiritual side

THIS
is the old face of the lds church.

hong shu, right?

Matt says anyone who labels themselves is a poser. But as I occasionally say, you shouldn't hold your candle under a bush. Or anything like unto it.
and so the lds church has started its bus/billboard/youtube/infomercial (maybe not the last one, but it's a good idea) campaign to let you know some REAL mormons. so here, for the first time, i have a little something to tell you about myself. (it helps saying it in costume).

if you have any questions about what i believe, I'll be outside trimming my stegasaurus topiary.
does anyone know how to spell stegasaurus?

Starlog 11.08.2011.1249

In just a few hours a giant asteroid hurtling through space at 30,000 mph will pass between the moon and the Earth, marking the largest asteroid to come so close to our planet since 1976. How crazy is that?

November = Thanksgiving

Since it's the month to be thankful (even though it should really be an all year round thing) I'll write some things I'm thankful for.

These aren't your average "I'm thankful for..." because duh... of course I'm thankful for all the things that I have. These are my guilty pleasures, favorite things... whatever.

  • My baby blanket. Still sleep with it every night.
  • Scrubs. This show can make me laugh and laugh and laugh. And it's a good one to watch when I'm super scared or something.
  • Uncrustables. BEST. IDEA. EVER.
  • Nail polish. Yes, this makes me a girl, but it's also quite the artistic outlet.
  • Imgur.com talk about a life-saver at work. Dull days? Never!
  • Chewy Chips Ahoy. Mmmmmmmmm.
  • Pens, notebooks, and things of that sort.
  • Books. Love them.
  • And then last, but not least, space heaters! Saving me from frost bite on a daily basis.

The AAAA Battery

You better believe it exists...

I Said It Once and I'll Say It Again

Anyone who assigns a label to themselves is a poser. We should all just be us and learn to be happy with it. I'm glad that I can say with certainty that Jill is Jill, Nic is Nic, and Tracee is Tracee. And I am Matt. Oh... And Erin. You're Erin. That is in case you read this. We're all a little geeky in our own right, but we don't go out of our way to label ourselves. Most importantly, what we think is cool isn't defined by what others think is cool. So heed our examples and avoid becoming just another stereotype like some people.

Post Halloween

Why do we celebrate All Hallows Eve but not All Hallows Day? If you think about it... Isn't that kind of like celebrating Christmas Eve without Christmas?
